Ok, just so this site doesn’t go rogue and get forgotten in the mega folds of the internet, here is a post just for the heck of it. I have survived thus far, amid all sorts of challenges upto and including entering 2018 as it sits as I type this useless post. It does suck that this free website does not have all the options I have on http://walknroll.info. I began advising on another website, setup here on the Free WordPress Server. My Girlfriend is the Blog Writer but don’t tell anyone. She has a reputation to protect! Anyway if they take the advice I gave them as I accepted the position of Blog Manager for the Society, I can perform updates and set security against hackers and do everything the expensive paid services at WordPress.com do, perhaps slightly less. The most expensive package includes SEO Tools, which is an expensive but very useful addition to easily help a website or blog succeed. The free again is so restricted but impresses newbies with limited results and little positivity
Are you running windows 7 still? You do realize I hope that it is no longer being updated by Microsoft, there is no protection available for you. What? You don’t care? You’re not online? Hmmmm. Your communication with your contacts (passing them a disk with software or documents from your computer is risky you know) is putting them at risk for their own infections. Have you checked to see if it can be at least upgraded to Version 8 if not 10 ready? That information is found on the Microsoft website. if you find you can not update past V7, find your closest encorp location to safely recycle that “paperweight”.
Updates are so important. Windows has a security feature against unregistered software, it cannot be updated making it a target for very destructive malware which attack software holes. Microsoft puts some of it out themselves to protect their investments. Microsoft also provides free malware protection to their registered users. That’s how developers of software and hardware get rich, planned obsolescence is the way of electronics! Windows 10 came out, effectively killing systems that could not upgrade software past Version 7. This warning in the share says Microsoft took this info from the website but pretty much all I said above is behind that link.
I bet you know what Cannabis is. There is a good chance that you know as much or more than I do about it. I bet you have an opinion. Wouldn’t you know it, someone can use that wisdom of yours. Read on, I’ll put you in touch with them. I’ve already had a face to face with them. By August of 2018, recreational use of Cannabis will occur legally in Canada. This was announced more than a year ago and provinces were left to handle the process of distribution to consumers. In typical political processes, they ran around like chickens in BC till almost the end (*now*) to do something about it. They finally formed the BC Cannabis regulation Engagement Committee and confused the Poop out of them as they got bombarded with citizen concerns like Consumers who rent in apartments…
Canada will change, RCMP will be even more confused as will most of the citizens and community leaders. Meh. Anyone remember what happened in Gastown, Vancouver in 1971? They called it the “Gastown Riot” as then Mayor Tom Campbell had a mad on for Hippies and attacked them violently with civic law enforcement using the refer they consumed as a reason that many accepted, as Refer Madness ruled the day! I’m sure we’ll move past that and all the wasted federal police time even today busting Cannabis distribution places, aka Cannabis Dispensaries and charging staff all over the nation. Some of those places brag they have operated better than a quarter century, some even are cornerstones of their neighborhoods, attracting customers to neighboring commerce and other businesses around the Cannabis storefront.
These are the guys I mentioned above… Have your say in the matter! You will be affected in other provinces as well and apparently in the USA too but alas, this is only directed towards those of us who live here in BC! Onward to freedom, be the change here on the west coast! The BC Cannabis Regulation Engagement Committee wants to hear from you, as a stakeholder in our shared future!
(won’t cost you anything but time)
We want to hear your thoughts on the regulation of non-medical cannabis in B.C.
